When hiring a roofing contractor here are some of the questions you need to ask:
- Can the contractor provide references of recent projects done in the area?
- Does the contractor have ties to your community?
- Does the contractor carry General Liability Insurance and what are the limits of the policy?
- What are the labor and material warranties that the contractor provides?
- How are the online reviews for this contractor?
- What labor and materials are included on the estimate for the project and how valuable is it in comparison to the other contractors’ estimates?
- Does contractor have knowledge of Building Codes – IRC, IBC, IECC and will your roof be constructed up to code?
- Is the contractor licensed in the state where the work is being performed?
